County health officials say four more students at Grant High School in Sacramento have tested positive for tuberculosis.

Those four students are now receiving treatment and are said not to be contagious because they were diagnosed early.

Grant High School is in the middle of a tuberculosis outbreak, since the first student was diagnosed with active TB in February.

Four family members and friends of that initial student diagnosed have also contracted tuberculosis.

Since the outbreak, 452 students and staff have been tested, resulting in 120 testing positive for being exposed to TB. However, they are not infectious.

The disease is spread very easily, from people coughing, sneezing, laughing or even singing.

School officials say the district is working with the public health agency and is encouraging students and staff who have not been screened to contact the Sacramento County Public Health Department.
