Percentage of Californians Without Insurance Down Significantly

The percentage of Californians without health insurance is significantly down since the Affordable Care Act began.

A WalletHub study finds that before Obamacare, the uninsured rate in the Golden State was 21 percent and now it's about 14 percent.

CEO Odysseus Papadimitriou says that's one of the largest reductions of the uninsured in the nation.

"A big component of this is the medicaid expansion that California chose to participate in, and obviously, the health care exchange was the other main factor," he said.

He says California ranks No. 5 when it comes to the most new private insurance enrollees per capita.
