There's a new a study out on HPV vaccine.

The report, funded by the National Cancer Institute, says just one dose may be as effective as the standard three dose regimen, in stopping infections that can lead to cervical cancer.

Dr. David Agus heads the Westside Cancer Center at the University of Southern California.

The HPV vaccine is currently licensed for people between ages 9 and 26, and it works best if given before people become sexually active.
