STOCKTON, CA - There is some good news for the bankrupt city of Stockton.
After two years of record-breaking crime, the city of Stockton is reporting a decrease in violent crimes. There have been 12 homicides this year compared to 33 last year, plus robberies and assaults are also down.
This is a great sign for the city since having record-breaking numbers of homicides for the past two years.
The city has just received a federal grant to hire 17 new police officers.
