There will be 12 free concerts that the Downtown Sacramento Partnership says will include a lot familiar names as well as more than 20 new ones to the series.

City of Vain, which recently wrote a battle hymn for the Sacramento Republic soccer team will play June 6.

The free concerts -- featuring rock, soul, blues, punk, funk and country will run Friday nights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 2 through July 25.
