More than 80 new homes are being planned for Curtis Park.
A San Diego-based real estate company says it's partnered with Sacramento home builder BlackPine Communities for a $22 million project on 71 acres at Sutterville Road and 24th Street.
The Sacramento Bee says the infill development is situated on a former railyard near Sacramento City College.
This is the third major housing announcement in the last few weeks.
Separate projects are also planned along Auburn Road and Madison Avenue in Citrus Heights.
