Auburn police have made a second arrest in the theft of more than 300 pounds of meat from the Salvation Army on Sutter Street in Auburn.

Richard Means was taken into custody Wednesday. He and Jeff Holzman are accused of breaking into the Salvation Army earlier this month, stealing the meat and then selling it to a business in Penryn.

The meat, which was donated for the needy, was recovered.
