Attorney General Kamala Harris will lead a delegation of state attorneys to Mexico to strengthen relationships between government officials and help combat crime in both countries.

The delegation will meet with Mexican officials to enhance efforts to stop drug, human and firearm trafficking as well as financial and cyber crimes.

The meeting is slated for Tuesday as the delegation will tour the San Ysidro Port of entry, a hotspot for the importation of illegal drugs.

Attorney General Harris will be joined by Mexican Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam as the group coordinates regular data and intelligence sharing on transnational criminal organizations or TCO.

A comprehensive report Thursday will address the threat of TCO in our state.
