Some lanes of northbound Interstate 5 remain shut down in Sacramento near Arena Boulevard this afternoon due to an overturned big-rig.
The truck was carrying a load of large metal pipes when it crashed at about 1:30 p.m. There is debris in the roadway and traffic is very congested in the area.
The northbound Arena Boulevard on-ramp has also been shut down. Detours are in place.
Officials estimated that the three lanes would re-open around 3:50 p.m., but that three lanes would remain closed for clean-up and towing.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
