An arrest has been made in the case of a badly burned body that was found along a Sacramento County levee last week.
Sheriff's deputies say they responded to a call about a missing person yesterday -- a man said his girlfriend hadn't been in touch since last Wednesday.
"It turned out that there were some inconsistencies. And the officers were also able to identify some physical similarities between the description that he was giving for his live-in girlfriend and the body that was found on the levee," Sgt. Lisa Bowman said.
Robert Enriquez, 38, was arrested for domestic violence and murder and booked without bail.
"We can assume that maybe pressure built up," Bowman said.
Bowman says there's no word yet on a motive. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
