An Auburn man has been arrested for several gun-related charges.

Auburn Police say they saw 59-year-old Robert Works in his vehicle, wearing a holstered loaded handgun in plain view.

Works resisted arrest, and additional officers had to be called to the scene.

Police found a loaded assault weapon, along with loaded, high-capacity magazines in the vehicle as well as two other loaded handguns.

Works also had ammunition for each weapon in the trunk of his vehicle.

Works in the Placer County Jail on $175,000 bond, along with another $85,000 for warrants from San Bernardino County.
