Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is under growing pressure from CEOs, politicians in Washington and state lawmakers in her own party to veto a bill that would allow business owners with strongly held religious beliefs to deny service to gay people.

The Arizona Legislature passed the bill last week, with critics denouncing it as blatantly discriminatory and embarrassing to the state.

Sen. John McCain and the CEO of American Airlines are among those asking Brewer to veto the measure.

She has five days to decide.
