Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives have arrested the caretaker of a 2-year-old boy who died in November.
Samuel Crutchor, 30, was taken into custody on suspicion of homicide and assault. He was with his neighbor's son when the toddler was found dead of blunt force trauma on Nov. 4.
"The coroner's report is very detailed, so the answer is yes, we do know pretty much what happened but it's not able to be released until the court process has gone through," Sheriff's spokeswoman Lisa Bowman said.
The boy's mother was also arrested for having some responsibility in the death. She is said to have frequently left the child in Crutchor's care.
