Forty-five years after becoming one of the first two men to walk on the moon, former astronaut Buzz Aldrin is set to reunite with the ship that recovered the Apollo 11 crew.
The 84-year-old will visit the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda tomorrow as part of "Splashdown 45," a one-day event.
They'll celebrate the first moon landing in 1969.
The USS Hornet was charged with recovering astronauts Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins after the crew returned from space.
Visitors will have an opportunity to meet Aldrin and other NASA and Navy personnel.
