California Assembly candidate Jim Cooper is being accused of sending election mailers paid for by an undisclosed funding source.

That's a no - no according to fellow District 9 candidate Darrell Fong, and his campaign has filed a complaint with the Fair Political Practices Commission to stop it.

The campaign claims that a PAC called Californians for Jobs and A Strong Economy paid for three mailers directed at Fong questioning his voting record while on the Sacramento City Council.

State law requires a disclaimer on campaign materials identifying any funding source with contributions that exceed fifty-thousand dollars.
