Cal Fire is expecting a tough wild fire season this year due to our state’s historic drought.
According to Cal Fire, from January 31st until March 15th of this year, California has already seen more than 730 wildfires.
Cal Fires Daniel Berlant told News 10 'We are most likely - with the pattern we've already seen - going to see potentially more fires and larger fires. In fact, the past several years, we've already begun to see a significant increase in the size of wildfires that we respond to.'
Cal Fire is urging the public to be extra careful outside and make sure they have defensible space around their homes.
