The California Legislature's standing with voters has taken a hit. It's part of the fallout from the arrest of Democratic Senator Leland Yee.
A new Field Poll provides an interesting contrast in public opinion.
The pollsters say they were in the process of doing a survey on the California Legislature, when the Leland Yee was arrested on federal corruption and gun-running charges.
Before that scandal broke, the legislature had an approval of 46 percent, which was higher than anytime in the past dozen years.
After Yee's arrest the rating dropped to 43 percent.
Legal trouble for two other Democratic senators, Roderick Wright and Ron Calderon, have also reduced voters' opinion of the legislature.
