People are moving back to California, albeit not in droves.
According to the U.S. Census, the Golden State has lost large numbers of residents to other states since the recession. The Sacramento Bee reports we gained 496,000 people from other states in 2012.
That's the largest number since 2007, but at the same time we lost 540,000 to other states.
That's still an improvement because even if we lost 45,000 residents, that's less than in previous years when we lost 100,000 or more for more than a decade.
