The vote has been officially postponed. Unable to finish the deal in time, Sacramento officials have pushed the May 13 City Council vote on the new downtown Kings arena.

Due to the city contract being more than $1 million, city staff had to complete the arena agreement with the Kings by 6 p.m. today, 10 days in advance, in order to put the issue on the May 13 council agenda.

City officials and the Kings had originally hoped to finalize the deal two days ago, but officials on both sides said the final details were proving elusive, however both parties remain confident the deal is moving forward.
