Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has until today to respond to the NBA's charge seeking to terminate his ownership rights.

Last week, the NBA initiated the action and set today's deadline against Sterling, who has come under fire for racially charged comments he made last month which were recorded.

Recent reports indicated that Sterling was willing to allow his wife to sell the team and that there would be no fight to keep it.

The NBA has scheduled a special Board of Governors meeting for June 3 in which all 30 team owners will have a vote to force a sale.
