Concern Over Bed Bugs Shuts Down Lodi Movie Theater

A possible bed bug infestation has shut down a movie theater in Lodi.

Lodi Stadium 12 Cinemas will remain closed until tomorrow, after a plea to avoid it garnered much attention on Facebook.

On his profile page, Mathew Wendt told his friends and family to avoid the theater after his nieces say they were bitten by bugs there.

They had gone to the movies Friday night, and say while sitting in the seats, they felt itchy. The next morning, they were covered in red bumps.

Wendt talked with management at the theater, and claims they admitted to the infestation, saying it's from homeless people sneaking into the theater and sleeping.

Stadium 12 Cinemas' Facbook page says a thorough inspection will be done.
