Taking a cruise can be hazardous to your health and a California lawmaker says "Enough!"

If the engine on a cruise ship goes out, it shuts down toilets, forcing passengers to endure days adrift in smelly conditions.

A vain captain shows off at the wheel, causing the biggest at-sea disaster since the Titanic.

And most recently, another norovirus outbreak lays up a giant cruise ship and sickens hundreds. And the best the cruise line can do? Offer passenger half their money back.

Well, Congressman John Garamendi says no more.

He's writing up a Cruise Passenger Bill of Rights to reign in what he calls the "Wild West on the High Seas."

Garamendi says its time these giant international organizations start owning up for sick ships, incompetent crews and woefully inadequate settlements.
