Traffic is still very heavy at the intersection of Douglas Blvd. and Sunrise Blvd in Roseville due to an earlier 2 car accident. The eastbound Douglas offramp from I-80 is reopened. Although there are now some limited traffic signals in place, we are still strongly suggesting motorists avoid the area especially during the evening commute hours. The intersection of Douglas and Sunrise is the second busiest intersection in Roseville with 77,000 cars a day traveling through it.

A traffic accident at the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and North Sunrise in Roseville is causing significant traffic backups in the area.

"Part of the delay is caused by damage to the traffic signals. One of the vehicles in the collission actually ran into the control box," City spokesman Brian Jacobson said.

Jacobson says the eastbound offramp from I-80 to Douglas Boulevard is also shutdown because of the accident.

CHP expects the delay will last through the evening rush hour and perhaps as late as 10 p.m.

Officials recommend avoiding the area if at all possible and using alternate routes until further notice.
