SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- It's 70 acres of dry, dusty land smack in the middle a neighborhood of mid century homes, right up against Sacramento City College. 

Curtis Park, a live-work development slated to be built atop the former Western Pacific railyard has gotten a $41 million loan for continued construction of infrastructure work going since summer. 

Water, sewer and electrical connections and roads are being installed. For a decade Petrovich Development has been working to make Curtis Park Village a reality. 

The quarter-billion dollar development will have 505 residences, commercial development and parks and open space when finished.
