The Dallas Cowboys are parting ways with defensive end DeMarcus Ware.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the team is releasing the seven-time Pro Bowler, who was due to make more than 12-million-dollars this season and count 16-million against the salary cap.

The 31-year-old missed three games last season, finishing with six sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery.

Ware totaled 117 sacks in nine seasons with the Cowboys overall.
