The Department of Public Health is warning consumers not to use "White and Blue Lion" tattoo products.

Testing has found microbial bacterial contamination in both the inks and needles.

"The use of contaminated inks or needles can result in a bacterial infection," Spokeswoman Anita Gore said.

Gore says the "White and Blue" products are common and easily available.

"Because of that, we ask people not to purchase them, and if they do have some, not to use them," she said.

One illness has been linked to the White and Blue Lion products.

If you've already used one and have any ill effects, you're advised to see your doctor.
