Placer County sheriff's detectives are looking for a man who attacked a woman at her Auburn home Tuesday morning.

At about 1 a.m., the woman was outside her home on Quartz Drive when she was approached by a white male in his late 20s or early 30s.

The man displayed a weapon and forced the woman into her apartment where he physically assaulted her. He went through her home and took some items before leaving the area on foot.

The victim said the suspect had very bad acne scars, was about 5-feet-7-inches tall, with dark eyes. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt that zipped up the front. He also wore blue jeans and black shoes. He had scruffy facial hair and had very strong body odor.
