Disney theme parks around the world are marking the 50th anniversary of an iconic attraction.

"It's a Small World" debuted this month at the 1964 World's Fair in New York City.

Special performances are being staged today at the New York Unisphere where the show debuted and at Disney parks in Florida, California, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Paris.

The composer of that catchy song so many people love to hate, Richard Sherman, is scheduled to take part in a parade today down Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A.
