District Attorney Drops Charges in Kidnapping Case

SACRAMENTO -- The 28-year-old man who took at 14-year-old girl from Connecticut to Sacramento without her parent's permission will be prosecuted in Connecticut.

District Attorney Jan Scully says her office has dropped charges against Nathan Salas so that the Connecticut State's Attorney will be able to immediately proceed with their prosecution.

Salas has been charged with kidnapping and creating risk of injury to a minor. He faces up to 30 years in prison.
