The California Water Board is taking a hard look today at how you use -- or overuse -- your water.

Dusty cars and brown lawns could become the norm in California.

According to a report from the California Water Board, in some areas, 50 percent or more of our daily water use is for lawns and outdoor landscaping.

Governor Jerry Brown has asked for a 20 percent voluntary water reduction from residents and that is not proving to be enough as the board meets today to consider fines of up to $500 if you are caught wasting water.
