The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department is asking the public's help in identifying a gunman who tried to rob a convenience store in Cameron Park and robbed another one in El Dorado Hills.

Officials say the man entered the Cameron Park store on Coach Lane early Saturday morning armed with a handgun and demanded money but the clerk refused to comply.

The suspect then drove to another convenience store on Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills and again, used a gun to demand money.

This time, the clerk gave the man the money. He's described as white, between 18 and 25 years of age.

During the crime he wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with black pants and shoes.
