Elk Grove police say the death of a 75-year-old man on a walking trail is suspicious. He reportedly took his regular morning walk around 7 a.m. Thursday but didn't come back. Elk Grove Police Officer Chris Trim says that's when family went looking for him.

"At about 10:30 they began looking for him, unfortunately they did find him deceased in a field near a walkway partial trail at that intersection," Trim said.

He says the body had obvious signs of trauma. The Police Department is asking anyone who saw an Asian man picking up recyclables in the area of Whitelock Parkway and Bellaterra Drive near the canal to please call them.
