The FAA says air service is being gradually restored at airports across the Southwestern U.S. after ground stops due to a computer glitch this afternoon. Departures were delayed at Los Angeles International, LA/Ontario International, Bob Hope Airport in Burbank and as far as Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.

'We know of two Southwest flights that returned to the gate because of this radar outage,' says Sac International Spokeswoman Lori Slothower. She says two flights from Oregon were also diverted here. There's no word on when they'll be back in the air. A Southwest, United, and an Alaska Airlines flight had been scheduled to leave LAX for Sacramento within the hour. We've already seen delays on inbound flights from Phoenix.

You are advised to call your airline to check for possible delays.
