FCC Boosts Wi-Fi Funding for California Schools, Libraries

The Federal Communications Commission is boosting Wi-Fi funding for schools and libraries by $1 billion a year for the next two years.

"This has been a priority of not only schools in California, but even at the highest level with the superintendent of public instruction," said Cindy Kazanis of the California Department of Education.  

She says it will make it easier to apply for, receive, and distribute resources where they're needed most.
