Michelle Obama is inviting a variety of survivors, creators and even a teacher to sit with her during the State of the Union address Tuesday night.

The White House released a list of some of the guests who will be seated in the First Lady's box for the speech, with several of those invited having survived major tragedies.

Carlos Arrendondo and Jeff Bauman both survived last April's Boston Marathon bombing, where Arrendondo helped rush the injured Bauman away from the scene.

Fire Chief Gary Bird will represent both the victims and the survivors of the EF-5 tornado that struck Moore, Oklahoma, in May.
