Former All-Star Pitcher Bob Welch Dead at 57

Former American League Cy Young Award winner Bob Welch is dead. He was 57.

Welch spent 17 seasons in the big leagues, going 211-and-146 with a 3.47 ERA in 506 career games.  

He played 10 seasons with the Dodgers before spending his final seven years with the Athletics.  

Welch won the AL Cy Young Award in 1990 after winning 27 games with the A's. He is the last Major League pitcher to win at least 25 games in a season.  

Welch also won three World Series titles and was a two-time All-Star during his career.

Welch's cause of death is unknown.
