The U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs under former President George W. Bush is speaking out about the controversy surrounding the VA hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Anthony Principi told Fox News about his feelings concerning allegations that up to 40 Arizona veterans died while waiting for medical appointments.

"I think what we have here is a failure of leadership within the Veteran's Health Administration if, in fact, these allegations are true, and we don't know that until the inspector general issues his final report," he said.

President Barack Obama has said he will get to the bottom of whether veterans were denied medical help they needed at the Phoenix hospital.
