Sheriff's deputies are looking for suspects in a drive-by shooting that left a number of people hurt.

Deputies responded to calls of shots fired in the early hours of Sunday morning near the 6500 block of 46th Street.

"We found more than one person shot, we actually had determined that three people had been shot as a result of a drive-by shooting," Sacramento Sheriff's Department Sgt. Lisa Bowman said.

Bowman says an hour-and-a-half later, deputies found yet another injured victim.

"This would be the fourth, and we had determined that that shooting victim was involved in the first incident," she said.

The victims were taken to an area hospital and suffered non-life threatening wounds.

Police don't have a motive for the shooting or a good description of the suspects. Preliminary information shows there may have been more than one vehicle involved in the drive-by.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering the keyword "SSD," or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).
