Four Sacramentans to Be Honored for Work on Poverty, Homelessness

Posted April 21st, 2014 @ 6:39am by KFBK News - Kitty O'Neal

Four Sacramentans will be honored this week for their work to help eradicate poverty and homelessness in our area.

That list includes a name that many are familiar with.

"We're honoring Fred Teichert, director of the Teichert Foundation. Probably Mr. Philanthropy when it comes to Sacramento," said Steve Caruso, former director of the Francis House.

Francis House is putting on the Feast for the Streets dinner event this Wednesday.

Fred Teichert can add this honor to many previous ones. Teichert was also named on the list of the 50 Most Powerful People in Sacramento and was honored by the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce "Sacramentan of the Year."
