The average U.S. price of gasoline has dipped 3.5 cents a gallon in the past two weeks. According to the Lundberg Survey the average price nationwide for a gallon of regular is now $3.31. Trilby Lundberg indicated prices could fall just a bit more.
"We may lose another couple of pennies at the pump. This past cut is because refiners cut prices to their marketers and retailers who passed through those cuts to us. There may be another penny or two coming but probably not more," explained Lundberg.
The average price in California is $3.56 a gallon. AAA puts the average price in Sacramento at $3.43, although it's been as low at $3.19 in some areas.
