Officials say they could have all the funding they need this year to build a suicide net on the Golden Gate Bridge.

The bridge's general manager tells the "Marin Independent Journal" he's not exactly sure who will pay for the $66 million project, but that regional and federal agencies are putting together a plan.  

Building of the barrier could begin in six weeks when the final design plans should be completed.  

A report earlier this week says more people jumped to their deaths off the bridge in 2013 than at any time in the past 40 years.
