State Senate Republicans continue to push for the suspensions of two Democratic senators who are in legal hot water.
Senate GOP Leader Bob Huff says suspending Senators Ron Calderon and Roderick Wright would allow the legislative body to move on.
"Adoption of this resolution will help to eliminate the distrations that exist in the Senate, and allow us all to get on with the important work that must be done in the state of California," Huff said.
Wright took a voluntary leave of absence last month after his conviction for lying about his legal residence in Los Angeles County.
Calderon is dealing with federal corruption charges that he allegedly took kickbacks while in office.
