Gov. Jerry Brown Reports: Nearly $20 Mill Raised for Re-Election
Posted Monday, March 24th 2014 @ 3pm  by KFBK News

Governor Jerry Brown is reporting that he has raised nearly $20 million for his re-election campaign, nearly eight months before the November election.

In a quarterly campaign finance report being filed today, the Democratic governor's campaign says it has $19.7 million in the bank, far surpassing the fundraising totals of any of his would-be Republican rivals.

One of Brown's challengers, former U. S. Treasury official Neel Kashkari, has announced that he has raised $1.3 million over his two months of campaigning.

The other challenger, Assemblyman Tim Donnelly of Twin Peaks, has not yet filed his fundraising and spending reports, which are due by midnight.
