Authorities are asking for your help in locating a teenage girl who disappeared from a residential treatment facility in Placerville early Tuesday morning.
The girl left a note saying she'd PLANNED to leave and would be safe, but had no money and no cell phone. 16-year old Amy Richards hasn't been seen since.
"Amy is considered endangered because she does have some serious health issues and she doesn't have the proper medication or supervision at this point," said Cindy Rudomettkin.
Rudomettkin is from the non-profit Polly Klass Foundation for missing children. They're helping authorities by distributing missing-persons flyers with Amy's picture across the state and beyond.
Richard's is described as five-foot-five and weighing about 100 pounds, has blue eyes and waist-length blonde hair, and has more than 30 scars on her inner forearm from cutting. She may be carrying a light blue satchel purse.
Amy's parents and sister live in San Francisco so authorities think she may be heading to the Bay Area. If you see her, or have any information, you're asked to call the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department.
