Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is admitting that she hasn't driven a car since 1996.

She made the comment in a speech at the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans.

"I remember it very well, and unfortunately so does the Secret Service, which is why I haven't driven since then," Clinton said.

1996 was the third year of the first term of Bill Clinton's presidency.

It wasn't all jokes for Hillary Clinton at the auto dealers conference.

She remarked that her biggest regret from her time as Secretary of State was the militant attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans, including ambassador Christopher Stevens.

She also dodged questions on whether she'd run for president in 2016.
