A new report shows home sales in California barely rose at all last month.  According to San Diego-based Data Quick, October real-estate sales were up just over 1% when compared to September.

What does that mean to both buyers and sellers?

"What this really means is that somebody interested in purchasing a home is going to be able to take the time to find the right home for them and their families," said Kelly Resendez with Paramount Equity Mortgage.

Data Quick also puts the median price for a home in the Sacramento region at about $240-thousand dollars.

That's not changed much since the middle of summer, but it is up 33% compared to October 2012.
