Housing Development Will Replace Old Sutter Memorial Hospital

East Sacramento homeowners are going to benefit from the demolition of the old Sutter Memorial Hospital building. 

When Sutter Memorial Hospital comes down, after nearly 80 years in existence, there won't be vacant land covered with trash and weeds.  

The property on F Street in Sacramento between 50th and 54th will be transformed into a housing development called Sutter Park Neighborhood.

That's very likely going increase existing properties values in the adjacent neighborhoods, which has some homeowners smiling.  

This comes at the same time as other homeowners worry about traffic impacts of some 300 homes in a project near Capital City Freeway, roughly a mile away.
