The Association of California Water Agencies will be floating ideas for beating the California drought later this morning in a briefing in Sacramento.

The ACWA is sponsoring this gathering at the Crest Theatre.

"It's a very broad brush program that will cover everything, including the latest on where we are with statewide conditions," Spokeswoman Jennifer Persike said.

Representatives of Governor Jerry Brown's drought taskforce say they will be there to talk about what the state is doing.

The ACWA has 430 members and they manage 90 percent of the water delivered in California.
