Hundreds of farmers and 4H'ers packed Capitol Park this morning for "Ag Day."

It's the annual celebration of the crops that come from California, but this year there was special attention paid to our drought.

Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross says we're doing better than we thought. She credits a "Fabulous February."

"Even though there were only two weekends of precipitation events, they were significant enough to bring up reservoir levels a little bit," Ross said.

Word came yesterday that the state would allow the pumping of some water from the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta, potentially offering at least temporary drought relief to farmers.
