Police are also looking into a strange shooting near I-5 in South Sacramento. It happened late Tuesday morning, but it's where it happened that's most interesting.
A woman ended up in the hospital late Tuesday after being found shot on a South Sacramento freeway ramp. Officer Michele Gigante says it happened just after 11 o'clock:
"A witness heard shots fired, looked outside, and saw a female on the ground on the on ramp of the highway at 43rd Avenue and I5," reports Gigante.
The woman was shot several times, and detectives are trying to figure out if she was forced out of a car or if she got out on her own for some reason.
She's in her late 20's or early 30's, and she recovering from what they say are non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
